Got it on easy by flattening the rail at the top for 1/4 using vise grip needle nose pliers & using vise grip clamp to hold the shoulder strap to my bench top, so I can have one hand to pry the clip with a screwdriver & the other to push it onto the rail with the vise grips
Is that normal
When viewed under magnification, most of them showed evidence of the imprint of overtightened vise jaws
