This piece is inspired by a photo taken just after sunset on a lake near the end of the Gunflint Trail in northern Minnesota in autumn. It is mounted on an 8x12 stretcher frame wrapped in flannel using Velcro circles allowing the felt to float on top and maintain the wet felted natural edges.
