AVCS Oil Control Valve FA/FB Part No.:10921AA241 Increased thickness over stock byThe AVCS intake oil control valve (solenoid) controls oil flow to the camshaft sprocket as part of the variable valve timing (VVT) system. It installs into the front timing chain cover over each cam sprocket. A sticking or faulty oil control valve may set a fault code and require replacement. The AVCS (Active Valve Control System) is used by Subaru to vary the camshaft timing in order to improve efficiency and reduce emissions across the rpm range.
