from experience the worst that may happen is flaking away of the foxing stripe which is a harder compound

a possible asymmetrical custom or perhaps 2 odds mis-matched somewhere along the line

it remains soft however & should not effect wear

vintage van's style #38 ~ US9 style #274 corduroy slip-on very minor wear to insidevintage van's style #38 sk8 hi lt grey dusk putty suede canvas made in usa circa 1994 new in box US9 UK8 8. 5 (gum waffle outsole portion measures 27. 9cm) absolutely mint apart from some minor age spotting which has discoloured the osnaburg canvas within the friction, & blemished the medial heel of right shoe. foam fiber fill of tongue has perished & may leave small trace of black dust on footbed & socks.
