The reverse shows the south front of the Bank with vignettes of St George and the Dragon. These are contained in swirls of acanthus leaves of pale green, blue, and mauve. Watermark of wavy lines and the helmeted head of Britannia facing right. The banknote measures 150mm x 84mm. Ceased to be legal tender after 28th May 1962
